Big Political Event Unfolds: Delhi CM Kejriwal Arrest

CM Kejriwal arrest Big Political Event Unfolds: Delhi CM Kejriwal’s Arrest ( बड़ी राजनीतिक घटना सामने आई: दिल्ली के सीएम केजरीवाल की गिरफ्तारी )

Greetings, everyone! Welcome to Ankit Inspire India. I’m Ankit Awasthi. Today, let’s talk about a significant event in the country’s politics. What’s the event? It’s the arrest of a sitting Chief Minister for the first time india after independence.

Yes, it’s happened with Delhi’s CM, Mr. Kejriwal. Now, the big question of the day is, for the first time in India, many of you might wonder, “Well, even Laloo Prasad Ji and Soren Sahab were arrested, right?” Yes, they were, but they resigned from their positions. This is the first time a CM is arrested while still in office, facing a criminal case.

Now, in such a scenario, a big question arises: when a CM is not there in a state or a union territory, what constitutional basis remains for governance? Are democratic institutions still intact, or does Article 356, President’s rule, come into play? President’s rule means bringing governance under direct control of the Centre.

Is this a valid basis? So, in today’s session, we’ll have a special discussion on what happened, why Mr. Kejriwal was arrested, and what the story behind his arrest is. What’s the world media saying about Kejriwal’s arrest? What’s the opposition’s stance on this?

All these matters will be discussed in today’s session. Alright, let’s take a look at some pictures. Here’s Mr. Kejriwal sitting in the car in the back seat. This car is special. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials arrested him and took him away. The news headlines soon spread nationwide, “Sitting CM Arrested.” It’s the first time a sitting CM has been arrested in the country. When Soren Sahab was arrested, he resigned from the CM post, but Kejriwal was arrested. That’s why “Arvind Kejriwal” is trending on Twitter.

Here, you can see Kejriwal sitting in the car amidst the Excise Policy Scam. This is when the arrest happened. We tweeted at that time and sent you a video message immediately, promising to bring detailed insights until this issue is crystal clear to you. What’s the matter? That’s why I sent you a video message last night, so there’s no haste. Now, let’s discuss this in detail.

Activists of the Aam Aadmi Party are on the streets. Alongside them are AAP leaders like Raghav Chaddha, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Vadra, Mallikarjun Kharge, Akhilesh Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, Derek O’Brien, Saket Gokhale – all condemning the incident, projecting it as an assault on democracy, portraying it as the death of democracy, a downfall of democracy within the country.

Brothers, when a CM, who was a significant component of the India Alliance within the opposition, is arrested, it’s a big event. All opposition members are declaring it. Here are some pictures. AAP workers have started gathering since last night. Outside CM’s house, due to the ED’s action, Atishi Ji comes and speaks, saying that the ED’s actions have been going on for a while now. Whether it’s Manish Sisodia or Sanjay Singh, they’re currently inside jail. Yet, over 500 ED investigators, working tirelessly, haven’t received a single penny. Despite this, they’re conspiring like this.

Currently, we’re having a session. Perhaps, at this very time, there might be a hearing in the Supreme Court because this case reached the Supreme Court for listing just last night. You can see this headline at 8:45 on the 21st in the Supreme Court. Its hearing is expected, so maybe by the time our session ends, we’ll have some verdict from the Supreme Court. They might declare this arrest illegal or allow it to continue.

Whatever happens, it’ll be worth watching. Alright, let’s understand yesterday’s schedule a bit. The ED team reached Kejriwal’s house at 7:00 PM. When your party leader, that is, AAP’s leader Saurabh Bharadwaj, went to enter Kejriwal’s house, he was stopped. At 8:00 PM, Raghav Chaddha said that an attempt was being made to arrest Kejriwal. Security arrangements outside Kejriwal’s house increased at 8:01 PM. The Rapid Action Force team arrived.

The ED confiscated Kejriwal’s phone. At 8:20 PM, workers and leaders started gathering outside Kejriwal’s residence. Section 144 was imposed outside his house. The police arrested the shouting leaders, and at 9:00 PM, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the ED. Presently, the Rapid Action Force is stationed outside the CM’s house, along with more than 144 people gathering outside his house.
